Setting Out Services
Inveraray Overhead Line Project
Caintech were contracted by Balfour Beatty to undertake the works spanning 271no L3 132kV towers. The works involved the setting out of the new overhead line, working with drilling and foundation squads.
Sophia and Moray East Cable Routes
Caintech Ltd provided all survey support to Volker Infra for the Moray East Cable route, located in Aberdeenshire, the cable extended some 34km in length.
The works included the Original Ground Survey, access route surveys (using mobile mapping techniques), preparation of the site layouts, construction setting out, surveying of the as laid ducts and the prep of the final ‘As built’ layouts. This accounted for 2 years on site with a maximum number of 4 staff on site.
For the Sophia Cable route, Caintech were involved in the 400kV section, again providing on site construction support, carrying out both the setting out and the as built surveys.
