Civil Engineering Services. Caintech Ltd incorporates a civil engineering design team and are able to provide the following additional services for clients in support of planning/building warrant applications all the way through to construction stage (in addition to topographical surveying and all related surveying services).
Prior to the commencement of most development projects, we advise all clients that it would be beneficial if a ground investigation is carried out.
A typical ground investigation will involve excavating several trial pits across the site to assess the ground bearing capacity of the subsoil. This information is then passed to the structural engineer so that they can finalise the detailed foundation design. Percolation & infiltration testing will also be carried out during the ground investigation to confirm the porosity of the subsoil. The information gathered is then used to produce detailed design packages which will include drainage and roads infrastructure design drawings and drainage/ground investigation reports.
Caintech can provide civil engineering and drainage design information for projects ranging in size from single house plots to larger multi-phase housing developments as well as commercial and industrial developments. We provide services over and above the initial ground investigation works which include detailed earthworks volume calculations, drainage design, and roads infrastructure design. This design information is used to support applications which range from planning permission & building warrant to Scottish Water and SEPA consents.
